Is SEO dead in 2014  ? It is big question to answer, as we all know that in 2013 major changes included further releases of Penguin and Panda, Hummingbird taking flight, and the shift away from providing keyword data. I personally think that Google has taken major spam-fighting steps. Now the SEO play is totally different, It is not only keyword cloud technique any more thanks to encrypted search.

Now the SEO has been shifted to content marketing, and Social Media also has come in picture. Now with good and unique content one can win half battle, however content update is must now a days.

Social media has been a major player in the digital marketing landscape for the last few years. First we saw the rise of mega platforms like Facebook and Twitter. In the last couple of years, visual content from networks like Pinterest, Instagram, and various micro-video services has swept through.

Google encouraging SEO experts for better content, active social media usage, Google shows its interest via Google+ about this. Most of the big business are using PPC though, however there is no connection between ranking and your budget for PPC.

Many of my friends ask me ” Which is better, long content or short content? ” , well it all depends and there is no fixed rule about content. Google values both expertise and value content.
